The campaign is youth led, designed and driven. Using music and social media to empower young people to be proud of who they are and to take a stand against bullying.
Every day thousands of lives are blighted by bullying. Many young people are left feeling lonely, isolated and sometimes broken by the mental or physical scars left by the actions of bullies.
Kids Count youth have developed a social media campaign; a movement and community empowering young people to be confident, strong & proud of who they are and what they stand for. To teach them not to let anyone or anything make them feel insecure or unable to be themselves.
Aims and Objectives
To reduce bullying in schools
To reduce bullying in the work place
To empower young people to be proud of who they are
To create a movement of young people
To develop a network of young people and community organisations
To roll the campaign out internationally using social media
Bullying is no longer limited to face-face conflict. Cyber bullying is the new 'trend', a form of abuse that takes place online and allows the bullies to hide behind a computer screen. Bullying statistics show that cyber bullying is a serious problem among young people. By being more aware of cyber bullying, we can help to fight it!.
